Ms. Helen Hariz is the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Grand Hotel and a hospitality guru. She took over the management of the Royal Hotel in 2001; and expanded the brand with the construction of the Royal Grand Hotel, the addition of Café Royale, the Donut Shop, and the Spa at RGH. With a keen eye for design, each project she completes displays her passion for creative innovation. She prides herself in her service and that of her brands. Helen is committed to her philanthropic work around Liberia, where she was born and raised. A commitment she shares with her husband of 23 years, Mr. Wael Hariz, who co-manages the Royal Grand Hotel. She not only supports various organizations and causes but actively participates in their campaigns. She has initiated giveback campaigns, and cleanup movements at the John F. Kennedy Hospital and worked with various orphanages providing necessary supplies, as well as hosting them at Royal Grand Hotel on numerous occasions.
In addition to serving on the board of KEEP Liberia, she is also a board member of IDYAZUZU, a foundation that promotes and develops culture expression in Liberia. Furthermore, Helen is a member of the Liberia Cancer Research Initiative and Liberian Cancer Society.
Helen holds a degree in Management from the Lebanese American University in Beirut. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children or on the open seas. She is a member of the Jim Holder Memorial Marine Club; where she is the only female captain and was the first female Vice President of the club.
