Livelihoods & Skills Trainings

Under this pillar, KEEP focuses on trainings in trades which allows beneficiaries to create lifetime income earning opportunities for themselves is a core area of KEEP’s work.

Through community-based skills training programs, as well as micro-savings and loans facilities such as Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) and associated adult literacy classes, the organization works to foster self-sufficiency in areas where its reading rooms are located.

This offers a holistic response to ensuring inclusive education for young people beyond school-based learning.  The VSLAs also serves as an entry point to expand outreach for adult education to association members, increasing the sustainability of KEEP’s interventions as the livelihoods of community members at large are also strengthened.
