Brenda Brewer Moore

Brenda is the Founder & Executive Director of Kids’ Educational Engagement Project (KEEP) a national charity which started during the height of the Ebola outbreak in Liberia as an effort to keep children academically engaged during the health crisis. Realizing the extent of the lack of support to the education sector, KEEP has been supporting the national education sector plan with several initiatives, including the establishment of libraries and reading rooms at public schools as well as teachers trainings, computer literacy and girls’ skills training.
With more than 17 years’ background in Human Resource & Business Management, Brenda holds an Executive Masters from the Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA) and is certificated internationally as a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR).
Her passion for being a part of the improvement of the education sector has seen the growth of her charity, KEEP, to being a nationally recognized organization in Liberia, working in 20 communities across the country.
She has published 5 children’s books along with articles in several local newspapers on topics not only on social justice, but also Human Resource Management.

Under her leadership, KEEP has constructed and created 22 mini libraries and 3 Learning resource Centers across 9 of Liberia’s 15 counties. Her efforts have seen over 100 children and teachers provided basic computer literacy skills and over 150 women provided up to L$1.5 million in microloans to start and scale up their small businesses.

In 2020, the ministry of education recognized her role in promoting literacy and awarded KEEP Liberia the National Literacy Award.
A serial entrepreneur, she also runs J&A Delicacies, a heliciculture company which provides a wide variety of processed snail products and farm as well as a cultural gift shop, Curated Gift Shop Liberia.

In 2016, she was named “Community Service Ambassador” at the National Excellence Awards. She is an Ashoka Fellow, an Aspen New Voices Fellow and a 2020 Acumen Fellow.
